To Kill a Mockingbird

Every time I watch the film To Kill a Mockingbird I think “well, now it will seem dated.” After all, it came out in 1962, when it won multiple Academy Awards. The setting for Harper Lee’s extraordinary book on which the movie is based is the rural South of the 1930s, a lawyer with uncommon integrity, and a child coming of age amidst a town consumed by racism.
